In the "excellent" category, Smart comes with 48.8 percent of score which is more than double of the 23.8 percent score of Globe.

Basic quality is for the usual social media apps like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and other messaging apps. Excellent quality is needed for demanding tasks like HD video calling or 1080p video streaming.

In this category, Smart surprisingly ranked 6th out of the 15 operators from Indonesia, Malaysia, and Thailand. It include network measures collected between December 1, 2018 and January 9, 2019.

In terms of combined download speeds for 3G and 4G, Smart placed 5th out of the 15 carriers with an average speed of 9.5 Mbps. The average download speed in the Philippines is 8.1 Mbps.

Last 2017, the average internet speed in the Philippines is just 5.5 Mbps.

There is still a lot of work to do, but the continuous network upgrade of Smart made them better.
