The updates was first shown at XDA Developers. In the table, the Snapdragon processors that will have 192MP camera support includes Snapdragon 670, 675, 710, 845 and 855.

Those chips are mostly found in mid-range up to flagship premium devices.

There are a few things to note about this development though. The first and biggest thing to consider is that the 192MP camera support will the chipset's upper limit in terms of cameras.

Which means, that if a manufacturer was able to manufacture a 192MP sensor and attach it to a device then that device will only have that single camera. It is not going to be able to support another sensor, not even a selfie camera.

In addition to that, to fully utilized this huge sensor key features such multi-frame noise reduction needs to be turned off. MFNR is the process of taking multiple still frames and combining them together to reduce image noise.

192MP sounds far-fetched and over the top, but you have to appreciate Qualcomm's extra effort to develop and publicly share tech details of their chips.

What do you guys think?
