Anyway, Vivo's iQOO is a gaming-grade high-end phone with powerful overall specs. At the back, the iQOO phones features a 3D glass back with LED strip with 16.8 million color option and blue or orange reflective light trails. The LED strip also serves as a notification light or fancy gaming lights. There's also a top-end "Monster" variant with soft faux-carbon fiber overlay on the glass.

On the front, it comes with a massive 6.41-inch AMOLED screen with 2340 x 1080 resolution and a tiny halo notch. It also has an In-Display fingerprint scanner.

Inside, there's a gaming-grade 7nm Snapdragon 855 octa-core processor, Adreno 640 GPU, vapor cooling system, 6GB/8GB/12GB RAM, 128GB/256GB ROM, and 4,000mAh battery.

The 4,000mAh has Vivo's USB-C 44W Super FlashCharge solution that can charge the phone from 0 to 100 percent in 45 minutes. It is only available for the 8GB RAM variant and above. The 6GB RAM model will get a 22W fast charge tech instead.

At the back, there's a triple camera setup. There's a 12MP f/1.8 Dual Pixel main camera, 13MP ultra wide-angle camera, and 2MP f/2.4 bokeh camera. For selfies, there's a single 12MP sensor.

The iQOO phone also has two hidden buttons on the right side of the phone when in landscape mode. It can serve as pressure triggers for games such as first-person shooters and more. It also has the 4G audio and vibration to further enhance gaming experience.

The phone also has WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, GLONASS, BDS, and dual nano SIM slots. It boots with Android 9.0 Pie OS with Funtouch OS skin on top.

The phone measures at 157.7 x 75.2 x 8.5 mm and will come in optic blue, lava orange, faux-carbon fiber color options.

Price and availability

The phone is now available in China. The 6GB RAM/128GB ROM version is priced at CNY 2,998 (around PHP 23.1K). The 12GB RAM/256GB ROM model retails for CNY 4,298 (around PHP 33.2K).

Engadget reported that Vivo plans to make the phone available in other parts of the world.
