OPPO releases the beastly Reno 10x Zoom in the Philippines

Right on schedule, OPPO released their latest flagship phone in the Philippines, the OPPO Reno 10x Zoom.

It comes with up to 60x digital zoom!

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom highlights a 48MP f/1.7 Sony IMX586 main camera with PDAF, Laser AF, CAF, and OIS. It also goes with an 8MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide lens.

Triple-cam with periscope type lens

The third lens who made the 10x lossless zoom possible is 13MP f/3.0 periscope 10x lossless telephoto. It uses two D-Cut lenses assembled like a periscope-like lens which can 35mm equivalent of 16mm to 160mm focal length.

The result? It is the only smartphone in the world with up to 60x digital zoom. The phone with the farthest zoom range before the the Reno 10x Zoom is the Huawei P30 Pro with up to 50x digital zoom.

Stunning design, notch-less full screen, unique pop-up camera system

The other highlight of the Reno 10x Zoom is its stunning design. It comes with a textured curved glass for better grip and avoid fingerprint smudges, Gorilla Glass 5 protection behind against scratches, unique gradient colors, no camera hump despite its powerful camera specs, and O-Dot ceramic node to slightly raise the phone to protect its cameras when lying on different surfaces.

NO notch, full screen

In front, Reno 10x Zoom uses a 6.6-inch 2.5D curved Gorilla Glass 6 protected AMOLED screen w/ FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution at 390 ppi. It comes with ultra-impressive 93.1 percent of screen-to-body ratio with minimal bezels.

It also has a new-generation In-Display fingerprint scanner with faster unlocking response and better accuracy.

Shark fin-like pop-up camera system

To make its full screen design possible, OPPO used its unique shark fin-like pop-up camera system that contains the earpiece, 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera, and the LED flash at the back. 

OPPO said the pop-up system can last for over 5 years even if it open and closes for around 100 times in a day and it has some sort of water resistance despite the moving parts and even if it doesn't have an IP rating.

Monster-grade specs

The rest of its specs are monster-grade. It runs with the 7nm 2.84GHz 64-bit Snapdragon 855 AIE octa-core processor, 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB UFS 2.1 expandable via microSD card slot up to 256GB, 4,065mAh with 20W VOOC 3.0 flash charge technology, 700MHz 4G LTE, and Android 9.0 Pie OS with ColorOS 6.0 skin on top.

OPPO Reno 10x Zoom is priced at PHP 45,990. Those who will pre-order gets a FREE gimbal stabilizer worth PHP 5,999. Pre-order period is from June 21 to June 30 only. It will be available at select 100 OPPO stores nationwide.
