2019 has been an interesting year for Korean tech giant Samsung so far. In the first and second quarter of the year, we saw the release of the Galaxy S10 line, the revolutionary Galaxy Fold, and a slew of mid-range devices. One could say the only thing that’s missing in the equation is the official release of its mammoth of a smartphone, the Galaxy Note10.

Ahead of its August 7 reveal, the tech community has been abuzz with rumors about the new Samsung Galaxy Note10.

Here's everything we know about Samsung Galaxy Note10 so far:

It will come in two versions

In the first renders that circulated on the Internet, we only got a peek at one version--which sources say is the standard 6.3-inch variant. But a photo of the 6.7-inch version, which we are assuming to be the Note 10 Pro/Plus, is also making rounds on the web.

The Note10-line will be 5G-equipped

While the 5G version is said to be exclusively marketed for South Korea, we are also expecting Samsung to roll out this version internationally, most probably if there’s a significant demand for it. If not, we’ll have to settle with the 4G version.

Goodbye, 3.5 mm headphone jack?

The future is bleak for our beloved 3.5 mm audio jack as photos suggest that Samsung might totally be ditching it for a more seamless design. This move could also be to push the use of its premium Bluetooth headphones, Galaxy Buds forward.

In-display Fingerprint Scanner, a physical button, triple rear cameras, and more

The Note 10 photo leaks are also devoid of a visible fingerprint scanner, which leads us to believe the Note 10 will also be sporting a fingerprint scanner in the display a la S10 series. Samsung, however, will retain its physical buttons, while we’re still not sure what they may be. Power button? Volume rocker? Bixby?

If there’s any indication that the photos are close to official, we can expect a sturdy-looking rectangular build that’s reminiscent of Xperia phones, and a variant with a pearlescent, gradient back design that’s similar to smartphones from Chinese brands. The stylus will still be an integral part of the Note 10, and there’s going to be triple cameras vertically set up on the back. It will have an Infinity-O display, but with the front camera taking space in the middle. Rounded display edges are also to be expected along with a few other bells and whistles.

Expected price and availability

Reports say that the standard Note 10 will be priced around USD 1,020 that’s approximately PHP 52,000, while the Note 10+ will get a USD 1,190 price tag, around PHP 60,000. The phones could also be priced higher given the numbers we got for the S10 series.

The Galaxy UNPACKED will be live streaming via Samsung website on August 7, 2019, while rumors say it will be available to pre-order starting August 9, 2019.
