Globe to launch 5G service in Rizal, Cavite, and Bulacan in September 2019!

Following the launch of Southeast Asia's first 5G service in Barangay Buting, Pasig City, Globe is set to make it available in more locations in the country soon.

The local telco giant confirmed that by September, the Globe At Home Air Fiber 5G service will be commercially available in Greenpark Cainta, Rizal; Woodland Hills in Carmona, Cavite; and Carissa Homes 2A and 2B, Palmera Homes in San Jose del Monte, Bulacan.

As a quick recap, Globe At Home Air Fiber 5G starts at plan 1888 for 20 Mbps, 2499 for 50 Mbps, and 2899 for 100 Mbps. It has up to 2TB of data per month or over 66GB per day.

The Globe At Home Air Fiber 5G doesn't only deliver fiber-like speeds, but also prepares the home for the future by powering intelligent devices for better entertainment and security systems, adds Martha Sazon, SVP and Head of Broadband Business at Globe.

Moreover, Globe revealed that the 5G service will also be available in 24 more areas on a progressive basis to fully ensure the stability of the service.

Globe also stressed that the deployment of 5G is faster than fiber optic cables. 

We are now transforming more Filipino households to be digitally connected using 5G technology, especially in areas where we encounter challenges in rolling out fiber-optic cable, Sazon added.
