Redmi to launch K30 with 5G connectivity
On Weibo, Redmi General Manager Lu Weibing revealed that there will be a K30 phone in the future and it will come with 5G connectivity.

A Redmi phone with 5G in the future?
In reply to a fan, he shared that the phone is in its early stage of research and development.
Other than that, the rest of the missing details are unconfirmed yet.
There is a good chance that it will be one of the first affordable 5G phones since Redmi is Xiaomi's budget smartphone brand.
Likely, the phone will be powered by a Snapdragon chipset with an extra 5G modem. Maybe it will be powered by the Snapdragon 855 or 855 Plus chip paired with the Snapdragon X50 5G modem.
But since there's still no clear launch date for this device yet, we won't be surprised if it will use an upcoming unannounced tech yet.
