In China, Vivo introduced the Z5 right on schedule. It's a mid-range smartphone packed with stylish design, triple cameras, and large battery capacity.

Vivo Z5 highlights a 6.38-inch Super AMOLED display with FHD+ 2340 x 1080 resolution, 19:5:9 screen aspect ratio with tiny halo notch, and 90 percent of screen-to-body ratio for more screen real estate and better overall viewing. There's an In-Display fingerprint scanner as well.

Under the hood, it runs with the 10nm Snapdragon 712 processor with Adreno 616 GPU, just like the Xiaomi Mi 9T. It is paired with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128/256GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM and 128GB storage, and 4,500mAh battery capacity with 22.5W charging.

According to Vivo, its USB-C 22.5W charger can fill its 4,500mAh battery to 50 percent in just 30 minutes.

On the camera part, there's a 48MP f/1.79 primary shooter, 8MP f/2.2 120-degree ultra-wide secondary cam, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth third camera for portrait shots.

As expected, there's a 32MP f/2.0 front-facing camera for selfies.

The phone also has WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz/5GHz), 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and dual SIM slots.

The phone loads with Android 9.0 OS with Funtouch OS 9.1 skin. It'll come in black, blue, and aurora colors. It measures at 159.53 x 75.23 x 8.13 mm and weighs at 187 grams.

Vivo Z5 will be available in China from August 6. Price starts at CNY 1,598 or around PHP 11.8K out of straight conversion with no taxes and duties yet.
