Cherry Mobile has just released a new budget smartphone that could be appealing for those in need of a compact ultra-budget smartphone with Android Go.

Cherry Mobile Flare Y3s packs a glossy curved back design in black and a 5-inch 18:9 2.5D curved screen with FWVGA+ resolution.

Inside, it is powered by the 1.3GHz UNISOC SC7731E quad-core processor paired with the Mali-T820 MP1 to handle some graphics. It also has 1GB RAM, 16GB expandable storage, and 2,000mAh battery.

At the back, there's an 8MP main camera. For selfies, it uses a 5MP shooter.

The highlight of the phone? It runs with Android 9.0 (Go edition), the lightweight version of Android with optimized apps. Moreover, the company claimed that it will be immediately upgraded to Android 10 (Go edition) once it is out in the market.
