Apple has just announced that it has determined that iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus devices may not power on due to a component that may fail.

According to the tech giant, the issue only affects devices within a limited serial range that were manufactured between October 2018 to August 2019.

If your phone has this problem, Apple's authorized repair shops will repair it FREE of charge.

Apple has a 
serial number checker online to see if your iPhone 6s or iPhone 6s Plus is eligible for repair.

Before going to the authorized repair shops, make sure that you backup your files first.

To recall, the iPhone 6s and 6s Plus were first announced in 2015

iPhone 6s is the smaller device with 4.7-inch Retina HD display with 3D touch while the iPhone 6s Plus uses a larger 5.5-inch Retina HD display with 3D touch.

Both run with the A9 chipset and have 12MP f/2.0 back cameras.
