OPPO Reno Ace with SD855+, 90Hz screen, and 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 announced

OPPO Reno Ace is bringing with it flagship specs like Snapdragon 855+, 90Hz display, and a quad-camera setup at the back.

To start off, the Reno Ace has a 6.5-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 90Hz refresh rate as well as a 20:9 aspect ratio. It also has a waterfall notch housing the selfie camera, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and an In-Display fingerprint sensor.

As mentioned earlier, it also a Snapdragon 855+ octa-core processor, Adreno 640 GPU, 12GB RAM, 256GB UFS 3.0 storage, and a 4,000mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 charging. It also has a dedicated heat pipe for cooling.

At the back, the quad-camera setup consists of 48MP f/1.7 Sony IMX586 sensor with PDAF, OIS, EIS + 8MP 116-degree Ultra Wide lens + 13MP f/2.4 telephoto lens with 5X Hybrid Optical Zoom and 20X Digital Zoom + 2MP mono lens. For selfies, it has a 16MP sensor.

Additional features include 3.5mm audio jack, USB-C, NFC, dual-band WiFi, dual 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 5, GPS, GLONASS, and Beidou.

OPPO also partnered with Bandai Corporation for a Reno Ace Gundam 40th anniversary special edition. Aside from the special design for the device, it also comes with a 3D avatar, social case, and a Gundam-theme charging cord.

OPPO game controller C1

In addition to that, there is a new OPPO game controller C1 for the Gundam edition with Free mapping technology and ColorOS integration. It also has 4D vibration made possible via ALPS vibration linear motor.

OPPO Reno Ace comes in two colors namely Blue and Violet. The 8GB/128GB version is priced at CNY 3,199 (around PHP 23K), 8GB/256GB at CNY 3,399 (around PHP 24.7K), and 12GB/256GB at CNY 3,799 (around PHP 27.6K).

It will hit China's shelves on October 17.

The Gundam 40th Anniversary edition package is priced at CNY 3,599 (around PHP 26K) for the 8GB/256GB variant. Only 30,000 units are going to be released and it will be on sale starting November 11 in China.

Lastly, the new OPPO Game Controller C1 is priced at CNY 299 (around PHP 2.1K).
