Makati Subway will link up with Megaworld Monorail!

Makati City Subway may soon connect with Megaworld corporation's soon to be developed Skytrain monorail as Philippine Infradev Holdings, Inc., the builder of the Makati Subway is forming a joint venture with Megaworld for a common station with Megaworld's Skytrain.

This means that the 10-kilometer underground subway railway system that traverse Makati's busy central business district will connect with the 2-kilometer Megaworld's Skytrain monorail.

Megaworld has sent a term sheet to Philippine Infradev subsidiary Makati City Subway Inc. The common station will build and link the PHP 178-Billion Makati City subway with the PHP 3.5B Sky-train project from Infracorp Development, Inc. The said common station will also link up with the Guadalupe MRT station and the Pasig River Ferry System.
