OPPO Reno3 and Reno3 Pro 5G smartphones now official!

On schedule, OPPO unleashed its newest 5G smartphones in China, the Reno3 and Reno3 Pro.

Reno3 5G key specs and highlights

Reno3 5G is a handset sporting a 3D curved glass back design in Black, White, Aura Blue, and Blue colorways. It features 6.4-inch 20:9 FHD+ AMOLED display with an In-Display fingerprint reader and a waterdrop notch in front.

Under the hood, it is equipped with MediaTek's very promising 7nm Dimensity 1000L octa-core processor paired with Mali-G77 MC9 GPU. It is paired with 8GB or 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB storage, and 4,025mAh battery with USB-C 30W VOOC 4.0 fast-charging technology.

At the back, it uses a quad-camera system. It uses a 64MP primary cam, 8MP f/2.2 ultra-wide cam, 2MP mono f/2.4 macro cam, and 2MP f/2.4 mono cam. For selfies, it uses a 32MP f/2.4 snapper.

The handset also has Dolby Atmos audio, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, NFC, dual SIM, and Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7.0 skin out of the box.

It measures at 160.3 x 74.3 x 7.96 mm and weighs 181 grams.

On the other hand, OPPO Reno3 Pro 5G sports the more sophisticated design with equally attractive specs.

Instead of having a screen with a notch, Reno3 Pro 5G boasts a stunning Gorilla Glass 5 protected 6.5-inch 3D curved 90Hz AMOLED display with 20:9 screen aspect ratio, FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, 93.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, punch-hole, and an In-Display fingerprint reader.

Inside, it is powered by the 7nm 2.4GHz Snapdragon 765G octa-core processor, Adreno 620 GPU, 8GB to 12GB LPDDR4X RAM, 256GB storage, and 4,020mAh battery capacity with USB-C 30W VOOC 4.0 fast-charging.

For the cameras, it packs the 48MP f/1.7 Sony IMX586 primary camera with OIS, 13MP f/2.4 5x Hybrid Optical Zoom, 20x digital zoom, 8MP f/2.2 116-degree ultra-wide camera, and 2MP f/2.4 mono camera. In front, you get the same 32MP f/2.4 selfie shooter.

The handset also sports a stereo speaker setup, Dolby Atmos audio, 3.5mm headphone jack, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, dual SIM slots, and Android 10 OS with ColorOS 7.0 skin.

Reno3 5G starts at CNY 3,399 for the 8GB/128GB version. The 12GB/128GB version is priced at CNY 3,699.

Reno3 Pro 5G starts at CNY 3,999 for the 8GB/128GB version and CNY 4,499 for the 12GB/256GB edition.

Selling in China for both models will start on December 31.

Classic Blue Pantone Reno3 Pro 5G

There is a Classic Blue Pantone 8GB/128GB version priced at CNY 4,199 that will be available on January 10 as well.
