1. Gorgeous flagship-like look - Huawei knows that not everyone can spend a lot on a beautifully designed handset so they made sure that the Huawei Y9s would still look great even if it has an affordable mid-range price tag.
Unlike most mid-rangers, Y9s uses a 3D curved glass construction at the back, not glasstic. Also, it uses the premium Huawei P30-like Midnight Black and Breathing Crystal gradient colorways.
The frame has a nice looking metallic finish and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. The side-mounted fingerprint scanner allowed Huawei to keep its back design very neat.
In front, it has a big 6.59-inch all-screen display with no notch and slim overall bezels.

The pop-up module has a motorized mechanism that allows it to pop-up when you will switch to the selfie cam mode. To ensure its durability, Huawei has tested it for 100,000 times.
In the pop-up module, you will find a 16MP f/2.2 shooter. It is a good type of selfie cam that can take selfies with great details and good colors. Plus, even if it is just a single selfie cam, it has a portrait mode with different background blur effects.
Moreover, it is one of the few in its class with a Night mode for selfies.
