The original Fujifilm X100 was introduced in 2010. 10 years later, Fujifilm has just announced its fifth iteration called the X100V. The highlight features are the new optional weather-sealed body, two-way tilting touch screen, and a new 23mm lens.

At the core of the camera are the 26.1MP X-Trans CMOS 4 BSI sensor and the X-Processor 4 quad-core CPU that shoots up to 11fps with the full-width of the sensor with the mechanical shutter or up to 30fps with 1.25x crop with the electronic shutter. It can also record up to DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) up to 30 fps but with a 10-minute record limit.

It features the Hybrid viewfinder that allows the user to switch between an Optical viewfinder, a Full electronic viewfinder or a combination of both.

One of the biggest new features is the two-way tilting 3-inch touch screen with an aspect ratio of 3:2 and with a resolution of 1.62M dots with 100 percent sensor coverage.

Two of the biggest customer-requested features have arrived: Weather sealing and a new lens. The original 23mm f/2.0 lens has now been upgraded to two new aspherical elements which allow for sharper images across the frame and even when shooting up close.

Because of the compact design of the camera, the lens mechanism couldn't be fully weather sealed. To achieve a full weather-sealed body, X100V buyers can get the optional accessories like a UV filter with the adapter.

It will come in Black and Silver colorways.

Price and availability

There is no word yet when it will arrive in the Philippine shores but it will retail for PHP 79,990.
