Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition now official!

On schedule, Xiaomi's sub-brand Redmi has launched its flagship phones of 2020, the K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition.

As expected, the devices are equipped with top-of-the-line specs, but with very attractive price tags.

Circular back camera hump, pop-up cam, all-screen design

The devices use a 3D glass back with AG technology and Gorilla Glass 5 protection (White, Blue, Gray and Purple colors), IP53 water-resistant body, and a big Gorilla Glass 5 protected 6.67-inch notchless E3 Super AMOLED screen with FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, 20:9 screen aspect ratio, 60Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, HDR10, 1200 nits brightness, and an In-Display fingerprint scanner.

Under the hood, both are powered by the 7nm Snapdragon 865 octa-core SoC clocked at 2.84GHz paired with Adreno 650 GPU. To keep the performance in check, it comes with a 3435mm² VC liquid-cooled heat sink.

The devices are paired with either 6GB or 8GB LPDDR5 RAM or 6GB/128GB UFS 3.1 storage.

To further improve the gaming experience, Xiaomi added the Game Turbo 3.0 optimization and a 4D vibration tech certified by TÜV Rheinland for high-performance gaming.

Both are also packed with 4,700mAh battery with USB-C 33W fast charging.

Apart from the promising performance, the K30 Pro phones might also be amazing for mobile photography and videography.

At the back, it has a 64MP f/1.69 Sony IMX686 primary sensor with 0.8μm pixel size, 7P lens, and OIS, 13MP 120-degree ultra-wide-angle camera, 5MP f/2.4 macro camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth camera.

The Zoom Edition will come with an 8MP 3x telephoto sensor with OIS and macro instead of the 5MP macro sensor. With the help of the 8MP 3x optical lens, it can do up to 30x digital zoom.

This device also has up to 8K video recording at 30fps, 4K video recording at 60fps, and 960fps slow-mo.

For selfies, it goes with a 20MP pop-up snapper with 120fps slow-mo.

Completing the specs, the phones have an IR blaster, Hi-Res Audio, 1216 speaker, WiFi 6 802.11 ax (2.4GHz/GHz) MU-MIMO, 5, SA/NSA (Snapdragon X55), Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, GPS (L1 + L5), and dual nano SIM slots.

The phones load with Android 10 OS with MIUI 11 out of the box.

They measure at 163.3 x 75.4 x 8.9 mm and weighs 218 grams.

The Redmi K30 Pro and K30 Pro Zoom Edition will go on sale from March 27 in China.
