Huawei Nova 7 series with 5G and 50x super zoom now official in China

Huawei makes 5G affordable with the new  Nova 7 SE, Nova 7, Nova 7 Pro 5G in China. The price starts at CNY 2,399.

Nova 7 Pro Display

Huawei has officially announced the successor to its popular Nova series. The new Nova 7 series includes the Nova 7 SE 5G, Nova 7 5G, and the Nova 7 Pro 5G.

First up is the Nova 7 SE 5G. It features a large 6.5-inch full-screen display with a punch hole on the top left side that houses the front-facing camera. Inside the device is the Kirin 820 5G SoC with 6GB/8GB RAM, and 128GB of internal storage.

At the back of the Nova 7 SE 5G is a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-camera, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro camera.

Up next is the Nova 7 5G. In front of the device is the 6.53-inch FHD+ OLED display with a single punch hole on the top left corner. Inside the device is the new Kirin 985 SoC with 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. The notch on the top left corner contains the 32MP front-facing camera with AF.

Last up is the Nova 7 Pro 5G and its massive 6.57-inch OLED curved display with a resolution of 2340 x 1080, and supports DCI-P3 color gamut. Inside is the 7nm Kirin 985 5G SoC with 8GB RAM, and 128GB/256GB of internal storage. On the top left corner of the Nova 7 Pro 5G is a pill-shaped punch-hole that houses the 32MP AF selfie camera and 8MP ultra-wide selfie camera.

At the back of the vanilla Nova 7 5G and the Nova 7 Pro 5G is a quad-camera set-up of a 64MP f/1.7 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle camera, an 8MP Telephoto camera, and a 2MP macro camera. The quad-camera set-up supports up to 5X optical zoom, 10x hybrid zoom, and 50x digital zoom. To make this happen, the cameras support Huawei's AIS or AI  image stabilization.

All devices support NFC and will be running on Android 10 based EMUI 10.1. Of course, Google Services are not included. Instead, you will get Huawei's HMS with AppGallery.

Lastly, all three variants will be powered by a 4,000mAh battery with support for Huawei's 40W SuperCharge.

All three models will support 5G out of the box. The prices listed above were converted directly without taxes or shipping. 

There is no word yet if and when the Nova 7 series will arrive in the Philippines nor is there information on Philippine pricing.
