MediaTek upgrades the Helio G80
Helio G85 is an enhanced version of the G80 series that was announced in February. It is designed for mid-range gaming smartphones and features MediaTek's HyperEngine game technology that is made to improve the mobile gaming experience.
Inside the 12nm SoC is a dual ARM Cortex-A75 and Hexa Cortex-A55 CPUs with the ARM Mali - G52 2EEMC2 that is clocked at 1GHz. Like most of the Media-Tek G-series, it does not have a dedicated APU which the Helio G90 series feature.
It supports 2520 x 1080 displays, LPDDR3, LPDDR4X, eMMC 5.1 memory, Dual-Band WiFi 5, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, Beidou, Galileo, FM Radio and Intelligent VoW. (Voice on Wakeup)
Lastly, it can handle camera set-ups made of up to 48MP cameras and will support AI Face ID and Single-Cam/Dual-Cam bokeh effects.
