The design and build is more premium than expected
The design and build is more premium than expected

1. Design and build - For a budget device, having a metal frame is something to take note of. Yes, it has a polycarbonate back panel with textured details but the metal frame gives it a premium feel especially since this a sub-PHP 6K device. It also has a dewdrop which is a welcome choice instead of a full notch.

2. Decent screen - For a budget smartphone, the 6.2-inch HD+ TFT screen is good enough to enjoy video streaming and social media browsing. The size makes it ideal for one-handed operation too.

3. Android One - Even with its specs, Android One version of Android 9.0 Pie is light enough to run smoothly. You can utilize some Lite versions of popular apps to make more out of the performance it can provide. For a backup device, this is more than enough.

4. Huge battery - The 4,000mAh battery will last you for quite a while especially since Nokia 2.3 runs a 720p screen. Being my backup device, it can easily last me two days of usage before needing to charge again. The big battery cell also gives it enough heft to feel more premium as well.

5. Stock Android experience - The UI is still one of the barest Android experiences out there. It runs a launcher reminiscent of what you will find on Google Pixel devices which is intuitive and simple. It also has no bloatware to speak of.
