These rumors come from alleged leaked renders that are parallel to the looks of the Huawei P40 Lite 5G or Nova 7 SE. However, as these are "alleged" renders the authenticity is a bit hard to confirm. Since Honor is Huawei's sub-brand it is normal for it to have some of the latter's devices rebranded.

If the Honor 30S is a rebranded P40 Lite 5G then this is what we can expect. It could have a 6.5-inch LTPS screen with a 2400 x 1080 FHD+ screen. Inside, it could have a 2.36GHz Kirin 820 5G octa-core processor with DaVince NPU, Mali-G57 MP6 with GPU Turbo, 8GB LPDDR4X, up to 256GB storage, and a 4,000mAh with 40W SuperCharge.

It could have a quad-camera with 64MP f/1.8 w/ PDAF, CAF  + 8MP f/2.4 120-degree ultra-wide-angle + 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro + 2MP f/2.4 depth with LED flash. It also has a 16MP f/2.0 selfie camera.

For features, it could have dual-band WiFi, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, USB-C, and fingerprint sensor.

The Huawei P40 Lite 5G is expected to be priced EUR 400. So if it is going to be rebranded as Honor 30S it could go cheaper. However, take this information with a grain of salt it could change until it becomes official during launch.
