Converge ICT commissions expansion

Local fiber internet provider Converge ICT has commissioned building a flexible high capacity 400G Metro backbone to offer a better quality internet connection. This new backbone network will be utilizing industry-leading optical solutions from United States-based networking systems, services, and software company, that will support current and future network requirements with a wide range of applications.

Demand for bandwidth has been increasing and the 400G optical Solution allows Converge ICT to be flexible and efficiently improve the capacity of its nationwide backbone that Converge claims as a seamless user experience.

This new network expansion leverages ASON Technology that can automatically route traffic to multiple available paths during fiber breaks.

This is a new feature that traditional DWDM technology cannot provide because it can only reroute traffic to only one protection path. This new deployment gives Converge ICT a programmable, dynamic set-up of connections that increases network adaptability, and resiliency. It also makes it easier to scale to higher capacity 800G wavelengths for future growth.

“This network expansion gives us the confidence that we can deliver on our commitment to foster simple, fast, and reliable connectivity for both existing and potential customers,” said Converge ICT Founder and Chief Executive Officer Dennis Anthony Uy.
