Redmi 9A with Helio G25 is priced at just PHP 4,690, now official in PH

Right on schedule, Xiaomi introduced its newest entry-level smartphone for the Philippine market—the Redmi 9A.

At the back, the handset features a textured design that prevents fingerprints in Granite Grey, Peacock Green, and Sky Blue colorways. In front, it uses a large 6.53-inch HD+ screen with a 20:9 cinematic ratio, 400 nits brightness, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light certification, Reading mode, and a notch.

Redmi 9A is an ultra-budget smartphone that can handle basic gaming. Inside, it is powered by MediaTek's new 2.0GHz 12nm MediaTek Helio G25 octa-core processor with 650MHz PowerVR GE8320. This chip also has the HyperEngine game tech for more fluid and responsive gaming with reliable connections.

Xiaomi added 2GB LPDDR4X RAM, 32GB eMMC 5.1 expandable storage via microSD card, and 5,000mAh large battery with micro USB. The company claimed that it can last up to 14 hours of gaming and 19 hours of video playback.

The handset also sports a 13MP main camera and 5MP selfie camera with AI face unlock. 

It also has an IR Blaster, 3.5mm audio jack, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, dual SIM slots, and Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 skin.

Price and availability

The new Redmi 9A with Helio G25, 2GB RAM, and 32GB storage is officially priced at PHP 4,690.

It will be available for purchase from July 15, 2020, at official Mi Stores, Xiaomi Flagship Store on Lazada, and Xiaomi Global Store on Shopee on Shopee.

The device will also be available for purchase from July 21, 2020, via Xiaomi’s authorized offline retailers.

On July 15, 2020, a 24-hour deal will also happen. Customers can purchase the phone for just HPP 4,590 instead of PHP 4,690 at Shopee and Lazada.
