Samsung has emerged on top in market research company Campaign Asia-Pacific and Nielsen's Asia's Top 1000 Brands report for the 8 years straight since 2012.

Asia's favorite brand since 2012

The research is based on the survey from over 8,000 people in 1,000 choices across 14 nations in Asia. Following behind Samsung are the likes of Apple, LG, and Google.

The report said that the South Korean giant was quoted as a favorite due to its global resonance, broad portfolio, and product innovation. To name a few, the latter was seen recently with Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Z Flip folding smartphones.

Even if it is not a perfect launch with delays and hardware failures, Superunion Asia chief executive Benedict Gordon noted that the Fold launch is equivalent to Apple's first iPhone announcement which redefined the smartphone industry.

He added that Samsung feels and operates like a global band. 

Samsung made it on top of the mobile, TV manufacturer, and smart home technology categories. The brand is second in home audio/headphones, kitchen appliances, and wearable technology categories. Samsung is fifth in computer software.
