Sony Xperia 1 II was previously launched in Japan with 8GB models only as well as a carrier-lock to Docomo or au. On October 30, a global variant with 12GB RAM is coming.

The global version of Sony Xperia 1 II

This new variant of the Xperia 1 II will come with 12GB of RAM as well as 256GB storage which is bigger than the 128GB carrier variants.

Aside from the bigger RAM, storage, and the new limited edition Frosted Black color, the global Xperia 1 II will remain faithful to the 8GB variant. It will still have a 6.5-inch 4K HDR OLED screen with 21:9 aspect ratio and Motion Blur Reduction features for a near-90Hz experience.

Inside, it has a Snapdragon 865 octa-core processor, Adreno 650 GPU, a separate 5G modem, and a 4,000mAh battery with wireless charging technology. For cameras, it has a ZEISS triple camera setup at the rear with a 12MP f/1.7 1/1.7-inch Exmor sensor with Dual PDAF and OIS + 12MP f.2.2 1/2.6-inch 16mm-like ultrawide sensor with Dual PDAF + 12MP f/2.4 1/3.4-inch 70mm-like lens with PDAF and OIS. It also has a 3D iTOF sensor for faster focus speeds.

It also brings back the 3.5mm audio jack and front-firing stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos and 360 Reality Audio.

There is no price information yet for the Xperia 1 II. We will update you as soon as we get more information.
