A few months following its international reveal, the realme shared that the Buds Q is coming to the Philippines on September 30!

Meet the realme Buds Q

realme Buds Q is designed by José Lévy, the cooperated designer of Hermès and the art director of the realme Design Studio.

Initially, realme Buds Q is will only be available in the Quite Black colorway, but watch out for its two other colorways: the Quite White and Quite Yellow.

In various realme websites, the colorways are called the Black Pebble, White Pebble, and Yellow Pebble.

On paper, realme boasts that it can last up to 20 hours. To see if it is as promising as advertised, here's what we initially think about it.

Unboxing/Accessories

realme Buds Q arrives in the trademark bright golden-yellow box of the brand. Inside the box are what you expect: the earbuds, of course, a charging case, some different tip sizes (in small, large, and medium which is already attached to the buds out of the box), a (short) charging cable, and a user guide.

The unit that was loaned to team GIZGUIDE is the Quite Black colorway.

Build Quality/Design

The realme Buds Q's charging case is made of matte polycarbonate material. It's so lightweight that I constantly forget I have it in my hands every time I am using the earbuds.

The hinge feels a little flimsy though. It also easily slips out of my hand and can undoubtedly get scratches as mine has already scratched on it (I don't know how it got those though, huhu), so you better handle it with extra care.

The charging case serves as the Buds Q's charging dock, and extra power supply. It has a light indicator that lights in red when charging and turns off when it's full.

Lightweight and stylish earbuds!

realme branding sits on the top of the charging case. One thing that disappointed me a little is that it's still on micro USB. Although it's kind of expected given its price point.

Note that it does not support Qi wireless charging.

The earbuds, on the other hand, indeed took inspiration from soft and round pebbles with the help of French Designer José Lévy.

They are airy as well, and surprisingly very much comfortable to the ears. I've been using it for hours and I didn't even realize that I have been wearing them for 4 hours long already. I didn't feel any itchiness, and that's a great point for me.

At first, it doesn't feel secure, but you just need to adjust it as soon as you feel that it sits comfortably in your ears. I can't forget to commend how the silicone ear tips contributed to the comfort these earbuds are giving me.

For now, we are impressed with the realme Buds Q. Although it doesn't have an ANC feature, its silicone ear tips make quite a nice isolation.

I personally love how the earbuds can recognize the gestures easily. Our initial experience with the Buds Q gave us nice sounds with a decent soundstage.

We can't tell you about its battery, overall audio performance, and other features for now but make sure to keep an eye on our full review!

For the pricing, the details are not yet available. Stay tuned for our full report on September 30.
