TECNO reveals CAMON 16 Premier with Helio G90T and 64MP quad-cam

Mobile maker TECNO continues to be busy with left and right smartphone launches. This time, the company released 3 promising mid-rangers in Kenya—the CAMON series.

It includes the CAMON 16, 16 Pro, and CAMON 16 Premier. So far, only the CAMON 16 Premier was officially introduced and the two CAMON phones are expected to arrive on a later date.

At the back, the phone sports a 3D curved glass-looking back in Glacial Silver gradient colors and a big square camera hump for its quad-camera setup.

It features a 64MP f/1.89 Sony IMX686 + 8MP f/2.25 GC8034 119-degree ultra-wide-angle + 2MP f/1.8 GA20A3 Night + 2MP GC02M1B f/2.4 mono + 5x LED flash. TECNO said that the cameras are assisted by the Ultra Night Portrait TAIVOS AI camera optimization based on 10 million levels of the dark-skin database to optimize photo and video output quality.

In front, the phone sports a large 6.9-inch LCD display with FHD+ 2460 x 1080 resolution and a pill-shaped left-aligned punch-hole housing the 48MP f/2.2 + 8MP f/2.2 GC8034 + dual LED flash.

Inside, it is equipped with the familiar 12nm MediaTek Helio G90T SoC designed for gaming, 8GB RAM, and 128GB storage. The phone also sports a 4,500mAh battery capacity with USB-C 33W Flash Charge technology.

The handset also has a side-mounted fingerprint reader, 4G LTE, and Android 10 OS with HiOS skin.

It measures at 170.61 x 771.18 x 9.1 mm.
