Facebook oculus arrives in the Philippines

Facebook recently announced the successor to the original Oculus Quest that brought virtual reality gaming to the masses. The new Oculus Quest 2 features near 4K Virtual gaming with two 2K or 1832 by 1920 displays (for each eye which add up to near 4K), Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 SoC, 6GB RAM, and 64GB/256GB of storage.

The new custom-built Qualcomm Snapdragon XR2 significantly improves the performance of the Quest 2 from its predecessor. It also plays a huge role in supporting controller-free hand tracking at 72Hz that Facebook says will eventually be upgraded to 90Hz in the future.

One of the biggest highlights of the new VR gaming headset is its capability to deliver VR experiences untethered or without wires. This means that users can play wirelessly and do not need to have their VR headsets be plugged into the computer that limits the player's movements. This allows for never before seen freedom in movement with new hardware that is lighter which gives players a better overall VR experience.
