Coming from MediaTek's Dimensity 1000+ of the Reno5 Pro, Reno5 Pro+ uses the 7nm Snapdragon 865 SoC solution. It is a slightly more powerful chip.
It also has a premium sandwich glass and metal design in Black and Blue as well as a limited edition designed by Joshua Vides and a 6.55-inch punch-hole AMOLED screen with FHD+ 2400 x 1080, 20:9 aspect ratio, 90Hzrefresh rate, 1,100 nits brightness, and In-Display fingerprint scanner.
The chip is paired with 8GB or 12B RAM, 128GB or 256GB UFS 3.1 non-expandable storage, and a 4,500mAh battery with 65W SuperVOOC 2.0 wired charging.
For cameras, it isn't using a 64MP sensor. Instead, OPPO replaced it with a 50MP shooter. But, this 50MP shooter is probably better than the 64MP sensor.
Why? It uses Sony's new 1/1.56-inch big 50MP IMX766 sensor with f/1.8 aperture size and OIS. This is a pretty powerful camera sensor on paper. It is paired witha 16MP f/2/2 ultra-wide cam, 13MP f/2.4 zoom camera, and a 2MP f/2.4 depth sensor.
For selfies, this device has a 32MP f/2.4 snapper.
This device also has stereo speakers, 5G connectivity, and Android 11 OS with ColorOS 11 out of the box.
In China, this device will be available for pre-order on January 18. It'll go on sale starting January 22.
There's no info on when will it go official outside of China.
Stay tuned!
