To recall, the Galaxy A42 5G is currently Samsung's most affordable 5G-ready smartphone. To make 5G possible on this handset, the company equipped it with a 2.2GHz 8nm Snapdragon 750G octa-core processor with a 5G modem.
For the rest of the specs, the handset looks decent overall. It is packed with 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 expandable storage, 5,000mAh large battery capacity with 15W USB-C charging, 48MP quad-cam, and 20MP selfie cam. It also has a 6.6-inch big display with an In-Display fingerprint scanner.
However, it has one glaring weak point. The screen of the handset only has an HD+ resolution. That's lower than all the other phones in the PHP 15 to 20K price point.
