As of the moment

It is more than just an affordable 5G device
It is more than just an affordable 5G device

First, let us address the elephant in the room. At PHP 14,990, yes, this is the most affordable smartphone in the country with 5G connectivity among all the officially launched devices here. Aside from that feature, it also has very competitive specs for the price.

The 8nm 2.0GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 octa-core processor is a capable processor for the price despite being a mid-range Snapdragon 600 series chip. This chip is speedy enough to run a lot of apps including some heavy games with no problems. The 4,300mAh battery with the OnePlus proprietary 30W Warp Charge 30T can last you a while and can be charged very quickly if need be.

It also has decent back cameras with its quad-sensors featuring 64MP f/1.79 + 8MP f/2.25 ultra-wide-angle + 2MP f/2.4 macro + 2MP f/2.4 mono + LED flash.

In addition, it is also one of the few smartphones with stereo speakers at this price range. This allows you to immerse yourself better in multimedia and gaming. It also has a newer and more stable Bluetooth 5.1 connectivity as well as NFC.

And of course, one of its biggest selling points, this is the most affordable with the highly-regarded near-stock-like Oxygen OS 10.1 skin. It also has features such as a fingerprint scanner, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, GPS, GLONASS, and BeiDou.

While it only has a guaranteed 1 major update and 2 years of a security update, that's still better than a lot of mid-range phones with no update at all.

So far, we think that this is a very competitive phone for the price.

Watch out for the full review. It will be out at the end of the week next week.

What do you guys think?
