Local telco giant Smart today announced that it has forged a partnership with NBA to power the new NBA Philippines website.

The new website dubbed as the one-stop destination with for Philippine basketball fans to know more about the league.

It'll highlight plenty of localized content that is highly informative and entertaining at the same time.

Smart revealed that a few notable names in the Philippine basketball and sports scene will help bring the content. It includes veteran sports television personality, sportscaster and sports journalist Mico Halili, former Gilas standout and coach Jimmy Alapag, and highly accomplished European coach, former Gilas coach, and current  Tab Baldwin.

Smart also said that Coach Normal Black and other notable names like PBA player Gabe Norwood.

Apart from the localized content, the new NBA website shows the latest scores, news, schedules, articles, videos, stats, standings, players, teams, and the store.

Today's announcement builds on the NBA and Smart’s existing partnership to provide Smart subscribers with access to NBA League Pass, the league’s premium live game subscription service, and NBA.Smart, Smart’s over-the-top service that live streams NBA TV Philippines, a localized version of the NBA’s dedicated 24/7 channel.

Smart users can also watch the 2020-21 NBA season by subscribing to NBA League Pass, which is offered in monthly and 3-Game Choice packages at PHP 485 and PHP 85, respectively. NBA League Pass provides the most comprehensive live and on-demand access to an entire season of NBA games in high-definition with live stats and additional camera angles including NBA Mobile View, which delivers a closer shot of the action optimized for viewing on mobile devices. 

Currently, Smart's GIGA VIDEO promos provide access to 1GB Video Everyday for YouTube, iflix, NBA, iWant, and Cignal Play on top of the open data and UNLITEXT to ALL. It starts at PHP 50.

Moving forward, the brand said that more services for Prepaid and Postpaid customers are coming to access more content in the NBA.

Smart also recently said that Smart Signature users will enjoy exclusive and easy access to NBA Philippines.

Smart boasts that it currently has the fastest 4G and 5G mobile internet that its users can use to access the website with ease.
