Shopee #TatakPinoy Virtual Trade Fair unveiled

The #TatakPinoy virtual trade fair is scheduled to run from February 19 to 21. It is part of Shopee and DTI's joint efforts to promote and support Filipino MSMEs.

Over the years, Shopee has been a consistent advocate for the growth of local businesses. Even during the COVID-19 lockdown, Shopee supported over 1,000 sellers who were forced to close their physical shops and transition online. Through Shopee's Seller Masterclasses and its partnership with the DTI, USAID, and LGUs, Filipino entrepreneurs were able to gain a basic understanding of e-commerce and digital marketing. Sellers were also able to master Shopee's marketing tools allowing them to maximize their e-commerce potential.

The #TatakPinoy Virtual Trade Fair aims to promote products from Filipino brands and MSMEs. Shoppers can discover local delicacies and "pasalubong" items, from Region XII and IV-A in particular, on Shopee. Some Filipino-owned businesses will also be available from the National Trade Fair Pop-up Store and Go Lokal! Shopee Mall.

Shoppers will also get exclusive discounts up to 10 percent off on participating Filipino brands such as Colourette, Vice Cosmetics, and Human Nature.
