realme's teaser

A 108MP realme camera phone in PH soon!

Apart from the 108MP teaser, realme hasn't shared much info about the product yet including its name. Our guess, it could be the realme 8 Pro.

First announced in India, the handset features an AG-Crystal Process back design in Infinite Blue, Infinite Black, and Illuminating Yellow.

Then, it has a rectangular camera hump with a quad-camera setup consisting of 108MP f/1.88 Samsung HM2 sensor with UIS/UIS Max + 8MP f/2.25 119-degree ultra-wide-angle camera + 2MP f/2.4 4cm macro sensor + 2MP f/2.4 mono camera + LED flash.

For the display, it has a 6.5-inch Super AMOLED screen with a 60Hz refresh rate, 180Hz touch sampling rate, 1,000 nits brightness, and 90.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. Its display also has an In-Display fingerprint scanning technology and a punch-hole housing the 16MP f/2.45 Sony IMX471 selfie shooter.

Despite not having 5G, the device has decent specs. It has a
2.0GHz 8nm Snapdragon 720G octa-core processor with Adreno 618 GPU, 6GB or 8GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 expandable storage via microSD slot up to 256GB, and a 4,500mAh battery with USB-C 50W VOOC SuperDart Charge fast charging technology.

But, if you are coming from the realme 7 Pro, maybe skip this device as it has the same SD720G chip and its charging is slower than 65W. The selfie camera is also down from 32MP to 16MP.  Unless you really need its 108MP main shooter.

The rest of the specs include a
3.5mm headphone slot, Hi-Res Audio, dual-band WiFi, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and dual SIM slots. This measures 160.6 x 73.9 x 8.1 mm and weighs 176 grams.

In India, the price starts at INR 17,999 (around PHP 12K) for the 6GB version and  INR 19,999 (around PHP 13.3K) for the 8GB variant before taxes and duties.
