Slim gaming-focused nubia Red Magic 6R with 6.67-inch 144Hz screen and SD888 now official

ZTE associated brand nubia recently introduced the Red Magic 6R, a reasonably priced gaming-focused smartphone featuring the Snapdragon 888 flagship chip.

Unlike most gaming phones, the Red Magic 6R features a slimmer-looking body (163.04 x 75.34 x 7.80 mm, 186 g) and modern and sleek-looking aesthetics available in Phantom Black, Stream Silver, White, and a limited edition color. Its body also has touch shoulder triggers with a 400Hz touch sampling rate.

In front, it sports a 6.67-inch AMOLED panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, FHD+ 2400 x 1080 resolution, and a punch-hole housing a 16MP snapper.

Key features of the device

As mentioned, this handset is equipped with the 2.84GHz 5nm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor, Adreno 660, and a built-in 5G modem. This is paired with 6GB/8GB/128GB LPDDR5 RAM, 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 4,200mAh battery capacity. 4,200mAh may seem small, but it is paired with a USB-C FAST 55W charger.

Keeping its performance in check is a 3D cooling system featuring a graphene layer, a VC liquid cooling, a thermal gel, superconducting copper foil, and a metallic mid-frame.

It is also paired with a 64MP Sony IMX682 main shooter + 8MP ultra-wide + 5MP macro + 2MP cameras.

This device also has a single Smart PA audio amp, WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and dual SIM slots. It loads with RedMagic OS 4.0 based on Android 11 OS.
