OPPO announces MagVOOC magnetic flash charging technology with 20W wireless charging

The new charging technology was announced at the China International Smart Industry Expo 2021. OPPO actually revealed three concept products namely the MagVOOC magnetic wireless power bank, MagVOOC ultra-thin portable magnetic charger, and MagVOOC vertical magnetic charger wireless charging base.

First up, the MagVOOC ultra-thin portable magnetic charger has a unique split design that has the transmitter coil and mainboard separate. This makes the transmitter base lighter and thinner as well as allows for better cooling. There's no need for a fan to regulate its thermals.

Next, the OPPO MagVOOC magnetic wireless power bank is compatible with Qi-standard wireless charging, 20W wireless charging, 10W wired charging. The power bank is marketed to be capable of charging a 4,500mAh battery in just 2 hours. It is a small and portable device which makes it suitable for traveling and daily backup.

In terms of pricing and availability, OPPO did not reveal any details as of yet. However, rumors have it that no mass production plans are on the horizon yet.
