Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G, Galaxy Z Flip3 5G records 7x more pre-orders than previous gen in PH

Samsung is claiming that the pre-orders for the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Galaxy Z Flip3 5G are on a roll.

Pre-orders for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G trumps last gen's numbers

The Philippines recorded the most pre-orders for the two new foldables

According to the South Korean firm, the pre-order demand for the Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G are seven times higher than Z Fold2 5G and Z Flip combined.

The new foldable devices have recorded more sales on their first day than what the aforementioned previous models had in their entire pre-order period. The Galaxy Z Fold3 5G and Z Flip3 5G even outperformed the Galaxy Note20 series.

This makes the Philippines one of the best-performing countries in terms of pre-launch sales. South Korea also received 600,000 units combined for both models in pre-orders. The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G makes up more than half of the PH pre-orders. The most pre-ordered variants are the 256GB models in Phantom Black and Cream.

As a recap, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip3 5G has a 6.7-inch FHD+ 2640 x 1080 resolution AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a punch-hole for the 10MP f/2.4 punch-hole camera. At the back, it features a glass design with Gorilla Glass Victus protection and a larger 1.9-inch AMOLED secondary display with 512 x 260 resolution for notifications and more.

It features a 2.84GHz 5nm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor with Adreno 660 and a built-in 5G modem. It also has 8GB RAM, 128GB or 256GB storage, a 3,300mAh battery with USB-C 15W charging, wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging. For cameras, it sports a 12MP f/1.8 OIS main shooter + 12MP ultra-wide at the back.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 5G has a 7.6-inch inner folding display and a 6.2-inch cover display. Both are Dynamic AMOLED 2x panels with a 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection. The inner panel has a resolution of 2208 x 1768 and a 374 PPI while the outer cover screen has a resolution of 2260 x 832 and a 387 ppi.

Inside, it has the 5nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 octa-core processor, 256GB/512GB UFS 3.1, 12GB LPDDR5 RAM, and a 4,400mAh battery. The rear camera system has a 12MP f/2.2 ultra-wide camera, 12MP f/1.8 main camera with OIS, Dual Pixel AF and a 12MP f/2.4 2x Telephoto with LED flash while on the cover display punch hole is the 10MP f/2.2. The last camera is the under-display camera found on the inner folding display. To make this happen, Samsung used SuperClear Glass with Gorilla Glass DX.

The Samsung Galaxy Fold3 5G with 256GB storage in Phantom Black, Phantom Silver, and Phantom Green is priced at PHP 87,990. The 512GB variant is priced at PHP 95,990. The Galaxy Z Flip3 5G is priced at PHP 52,990 for the 128GB and PHP 56,990 for the 256GB variant. Pre-orders will only be until September 21st.
