In Nigeria, Transsion Holdings subsidiary TECNO Mobile has garnered an impressive reputation of offering decent smartphones with super affordable price points. Hence, it shouldn't be a surprise that TECNO has quietly unveiled the Spark 8 in Nigeria.

This is an interesting move as the TECNO SPARK 7 was just launched in the Philippines back on August 13, 2021! The SPARK 7 featured a large 6.5-inch IPS HD+ display, 12nm MediaTek Helio A25 octa-core processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB of ROM and 6000mAh battery.

While the new SPARK 8 that arrived in Nigeria features a 6.5-inch IPS LCD display with 1600 x 720 resolution and with a waterdrop notch. Inside is a MediaTek Helio P22 SoC, 2GB RAM, 64GB of internal storage, and a 5000mAh battery with 10W charging via micro-USB port. 

At the back is a 16MP main camera and a 2MP QVGA secondary camera while in front is an 8MP selfie camera. It also features a 3.5mm audio jack.

Running the show is Android 11 Go Edition.

Nigeria price with direct to PHP conversion (no taxes and duties yet):

TECNO SPARK 8 2GB/64GB - NGN 55,000 (around PHP 6.7K)

There is no word yet on when it will be available in Nigeria. There is also no word on pricing and on when it will arrive in the international mark like in the Philippines.
