The "perfect" companion for PS5?

The BRAVIA XR TVs are specially designed to work perfectly for the PlayStation 5, it will have two features to offer—Auto HDR Tone Mapping and Auto Genre Picture Mode.

The TVs will support frame rates of up to 120fps and 4K resolution as specified in HDMI 2.1 in compatible games. In addition, Z9J models with input lag as low as 6.0ms will achieve better performance in terms of smoothness and responsiveness in games like a first-person shooter, sports, and high-performance games with the instant on-screen action.

The Auto HDR Tone Mapping feature makes the HDR settings optimized instantly on the next-gen console during the initial setup. The PS5 automatically recognizes individual BRAVIA TV models and picks the best HDR setting for the TV accordingly. This will allow users to see crucial details and colors even in high-contrast scenes. As an example, there will be more detailed objects on the track in Gran Turismo 7 so you'll know what could be the next move to make.

As for the Auto Genre Picture Mode, BRAVIA XR TVs have the capabilities in detecting your activities on the TV, such as whether you are playing games or watching movies and shows. The TV will also switch into Game Mode automatically when you start playing. As a result, this will minimize input lag allowing the action more responsive.

There's also a Standard Mode for watching movies using a streaming service or from an Ultra HD Blue-ray disc on the PS5, this shifts focus to the picture processing giving a more expressive picture.
