PH professional DOTA 2 team Omega Esports is now prohibited to join in all Valve-sponsored events due to their involvement in match-fixing schemes.

The shocking news to the Esports industry came when Southeast Asia Dota Pro Circuit League (SEA DPC League) posted it on their Twitter page.

The Smart-sponsored team will lose their Division I spot in the SEA DPC as a result of the sanction, whereas BOOM Esports, who finished 7th last season, will return to Division I for the 2018 Winter Tour.
