Sony intros new DualSense wireless controller colors and PS5 console covers!

Sony just unveiled its three new colors for the DualSense controller plus its range of first-party console covers for the PS5.

Bold and pretty colorways for PS5

The Japanese gaming giant released new colors of its accessory offerings: Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. These colors are now added to the previously launched  Cosmic Red and Midnight Black DualSense wireless controller colors.

Aside from that, Sony is also going to launch new PS5 console covers to match all of the galaxy-inspired DualSense wireless controller colors. The new console covers will come in Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple. 

According to the company, the new console covers are user-friendly. You can simply remove the original white PS5 console cover then the new one into place. 

Sony notes that the console cover is all standalone items that need to be purchased separately and a replacement for the default white covers, which will continue to be the only option while purchasing the console. It will be available for both the PS5 with the Ultra HD Blu-ray disc drive and the PS5 Digital Edition.

The new DualSense wireless controller colors arrive next month in January 2022 in selected regions, then the PS5 console covers will follow. Allegedly, the exact launch dates for both of these accessories may vary based on location. 

The Midnight Black and Cosmic Red PS5 console covers will be sold starting in January 2022 in USA, Canada, UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Korea, and the Philippines. 

Meanwhile, the Nova Pink, Galactic Purple, and Starlight Blue PS5 console covers will also be released in these locations, but in the first half of 2022. Sony said that it's going to bring the PS5 console covers in additional territories during the year, and we’ll announce those details as they become available. 

For the new DualSense wireless controller colors, they are going to be available via early access via this link starting January 14, 2021. They will be offered at other participating retailers starting February 18. 

Sony did not announce yet the pricing of the wireless controllers and console covers so stay tuned for updates.
