This is considered the entry-level RX 6000 series GPU. This is aimed at people who want to upgrade from older GPUs such as the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 or the ever so popular AMD Radeon RX 570. The upgrade part comes from a newer architecture with RDNA 2 and support for new modern features such as the FidelityFX Super Resolution technology.

The RX 6500 XT will feature 16 compute units. 4GB GDDR6 RAM, a base game clock of 2610MHz, and a boost clock of 2815MHz. It also has a 107W TDP as well. It is a single-fan GPU that works for those with small PC builds. It also has a 305GB/s bandwidth with AMD Infinity Cache technology. It will also be AMD's first GPU to use a 6nm process node for production.

In terms of performance in 1080p in High Settings, the RX 6500 XT was able to get up to 108FPS in Resident Evil: Village, up to 78FPS in Halo Infinite, and 61FPS in Call of Duty: Vanguard. These are impressive given that it is running these games in High Settings.

In terms of ports, it has 1x DisplayPort with DSC and 1x HDMI 2.1 with VRR and FRL. It will take up two slots in your PC case I/O slots.
