Globe strengthens partnership with UNICEF

The decision covers all Globe and TM subscribers, the group said in a statement.

This will allow customers to access and learn more about ways to combat online child exploitation.

As a strong advocate of child online safety, we want to keep Filipino children safe even as they are constantly exposed to the internet. Our partnership with UNICEF for SaferKidsPH is not only a commitment, but also a call for our customers to join us in fighting OSAEC together, said Yoly Crisanto, Globe Chief Sustainability Officer and SVP for Corporate Communications.

For over two years now, Globe and UNICEF have been working together to promote online safety and security among children through the said online platform.

According to Globe, SaferKidsPH is an Australian Government initiative delivered through the consortium of Save the Children Philippines, The Asia Foundation, and UNICEF to reduce the online sexual abuse and exploitation of children in the Philippines.

Aside from SaferKidsPH, Globe is also backing UNICEF’s Child Protection and Child Rights and Business Programs in the Philippines as part of its #MakeITSafe campaign.
