LG's first-ever gaming laptop called UltraGear 17G90Q recently won the "Innovation Award" at the ongoing CES 2022.

Receives "Innovation Award" at CES 2022!

To recap, it is a gaming notebook with a sleek body that is only 21.44 mm thin and weighs only 2.64kg. It has an aluminum casing in matte gray finish bearing the winged purple UltraGear badge on its top cover.

The UltraGear 17G90Q has an IPS display of 17-inch with FHD resolution, 16:9 aspect ratio, 99 percent sRGB coverage, 300Hz refresh rate, and 1ms response time for superb fluid gameplay.

At the helm, it runs the 11th Gen Intel Tiger Lake-H CPU plus an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080 Max-Q GPU which is considered the fastest graphics card available for laptops to date.

It also has options for 16GB or 32GB dual-channel DDR4 RAM and up to 1TB M.2 Dual NVMe SSD storage.

The gaming notebook also has a 93WHr battery, which is nearly double that of common laptops, so it can keep up with its power-hungry graphics.

LG also included a 1080p webcam which can be used for video conferences.

As for connectivity,  it has WiFi 6E and there are two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, one of which is a USB 4 port. There's also a microSD card slot and a headphone jack. It also has a DC input connector for charging as well as HDMI and Ethernet port.

Other features included are an RGB lighting keyboard, fingerprint scanner, 2 Way speaker with DTS X ultra support, and a Cooling System with Vapor Chamber.

LG is still yet to unveil the price of their first-ever gaming notebook at CES 2022. As for availability, the company said it will be initially available in South Korea and the United States with other markets to follow.
