MWC 2022: realme GT2, GT2 Pro, 100W-200W UltraDart charging technology now official globally!

During MWC 2022 in Barcelona, realme finally launched the GT2 series to the rest of the world. It also announced its new 100W-200W UltraDart Charging!

As a recap, the realme GT2 series features a design and build that aims to reduce the company's carbon footprint. The devices use bio-based polymer material for the back panel. This material creates 2kg fewer carbon emissions for every kilogram made. The box the devices come with is also recyclable. At the back, there is a rectangular camera bump housing the three cameras. It also has curved edges for a sleeker look. 

Focusing on the realme GT2, it has a 6.62-inch  2400 x 1080 FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1300 nits peak brightness, 398 ppi pixel density, In-Display fingerprint sensor and Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. Inside, it has the 2.84GHz Snapdragon 888 5G octa-core processor, Adreno 660 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, up to 256GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. It also has WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, QZSS, NFC, and USB-C.

For cameras, it has a triple camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX766 main with OIS, PDAF + 8MP 119-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor + 2MP macro sensor with LED flash. The secondary sensors' sizes have not yet been specified for the GT2. It also has a 16MP f/2.5 selfie sensor.

For the realme GT2 Pro, it features a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with 3216 x 1440 QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, 1400 nits peak brightness, 509 ppi pixel density, and Corning Gorilla Victus protection. It also has stereo speakers.

Inside, it has the 4nm 3.0GHz Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 octa-core processor, Adreno 730 GPU, up to 12GB RAM, up to 512GB UFS 3.1 storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with 65W fast charging. It also has an In-Display fingerprint sensor, WiFi 6, 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.2, dual-band GPS, GLONASS, BDS, Galileo, QZSS, NavIC, NFC, and USB-C.

For cameras, it has a triple camera setup with a 50MP f/1.8 Sony IMX766 main with OIS, PDAF + 50MP f/2.2 150-degree ultra-wide-angle sensor + 3MP f/3.0 microscope sensor with 40X magnification and LED flash. The secondary sensors' sizes have not yet been specified for the GT2. It also has a 32MP f/2.4 selfie sensor.

Both run Android 12 with realme UI 3.0 out of the box.

100W-200W UltraDart fast charging to debut with GT3 Neo

realme also announced its latest sharing with its new UltraDart system. It's a new charging design that allows for charging speeds of 100W to 200W. The realme GT Neo3 will be the first smartphone to use the UltraDart Charging with 150W.

Even if the user is playing a demanding game or binge-watching videos while charging, the new Temperature Management Algorithm will keep the battery temperature below 43 degrees Celsius. In addition, the new UltraDart aims to charge realme devices from 0 to 50 percent in 5 minutes.
