MRT-3 FREE ride lasts until June 30

Almost two months after giving FREE rides to patrons, MRT-3 is extending the service until the inauguration of the new President on June 30, 2022.

A total of three-month FREE rides!

In case you missed it, President Rodrigo Duterte instructed the FREE rides program for all passengers on March 28, 2022, in commemoration of the completion of MRT-3's rehabilitation.

According to OIC General Manager Michael Capati, the MRT-3 free ride program has benefited 15,730,000 passengers from March 28 to May 24, 2022, with PHP 286 million in foregone revenues.

Department of Transportation (DOTr) officials said they have decided to extend the program to assist more commuters affected by the soaring prices of fuel and basic commodities. Note that MRT-3's operating hours are from 4:40 AM to 10:10 PM. 

To recap, Beep cardholders will not receive deductions until April 30, 2022. Meanwhile, to that availing of the single-trip card, passengers only need to approach the station windows to get one.
