Tech giant Huawei recently introduced the "Sound Joy" wireless portable speaker to the Philippine market to those who missed it.

This is the company's second audio device co-engineered with Devialet—a highly regarded French premium audio device maker after the Sound X two years back.

Priced at only PHP 6,999, Huawei and Devialet claim that the Sound Joy is a portable yet stylish speaker with a full-range sound, strong battery life, and Super Device integration with compatible devices for seamless connectivity.

Verdict

For a first-timer in the portable speaker space, Huawei announced itself to the competition with a BANG.

Superb for the price

The Huawei Sound Joy is one of our favorite speakers in its class due to its stellar build, above-average sound quality, best-in-class battery life, and plenty of connectivity features.

This is also the most affordable with Devialet branding as well

There are a few kinks in its armor that could be improved though.

We hope that its next iteration will be Hi-Res Audio certified and it won't hurt if it has an analog 3.5mm audio connection as well.

But overall, this is a speaker that I will gladly bring on our next road trip to the beach.
