Apple has announced the all-new MacBook Air alongside the new M2 chip. The price starts at PHP 69,990.

First Mac with M2?
Apple began the annual Worldwide Developers Conference by announcing the next-generation Apple Silicon called the 5nm M2 chip. Shortly after, Apple announced the first Mac equipped with this new silicon.
The new Apple M2 chip comes with an 8-core CPU (4 performance cores and 4 efficiency cores), 8 or 10-core GPU, 16-core Neural Engine and 100GB/s unified memory bandwidth. It comes with a Media Engine that features Hardware-accelerated H.264, HEVC, ProRes, and ProRes RAW, Video decode engine, Video Encode engine, and ProRes encode and decode engine.
The laptop has a base spec of 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage. It can be configured up to 24GB of RAM and up to 2TB of storage.
It has a 13.6-inch LED-backlit IPS Liquid Retina Display with 2560 by 1664 resolution, 500 nits brightness, support for 1 billion color (P3 wide color) and True Tone technology.

On the left side is the MagSafe 3 charging port that was first introduced on the MacBook Pro 14 and 16. Beside it are two Thunderbolt 4 or USB 4 ports. On the right side is a single 3.5mm headphone jack that supports high-impedance headphones.
The company claims that the new MacBook Air's 52.6-watt-hour-lithium-polymer battery can last up to 18 hours of continuous Apple TV app movie playback or up to 15 hours of wireless web usage. The base model M2 with an 8-core GPU comes with a 30W USB-C Power adapter while the M2 with a 10-core GPU model comes with the new 35W Dual USB-C Port Compact Power Adapter. It also supports Fast-charging with the 67W USB-C power adapter.
It connects wirelessly thru WiFi 6 and Bluetooth 5.0. Other features include a 1080 FaceTime HD camera with an Advanced image signal processor with computational video. Around the Air is a Four-speaker sound system that supports Spatial Audio with Dolby Atmos. It is paired with a three-microphone array.
It measures 1.13 x 30.41 x 21.5 cm and weighs 1.24kg. Lastly, it will come in either Midnight, Starlight, Silver or Space Gray.
