OPPO ends MLBB Game on Cup 2022, promotes A96

OPPO recently held its amateur tournament called the Game on Cup 2022 last Sunday. During the event, the company also tapped Blacklist International to promote the A96 mid-range smartphone.

A successful Game on Cup 2022 event?

The tournament began last June 2-3 with amateur teams competing for the Qualifiers Phase 1. The mechanics single-elimination round with the best-of-1 (BO1) matches only. 

From here, there will be 16 teams that will advance to the Qualifiers Phase 2 which happened last June 4-5 it is also a single-elimination phase but with best-of-3 (BO3) matches and will determine who will go up next for the playoffs round.

Mobile Legends: Bang Bang is one of the well-loved mobile games in the gaming community in the country. Aside from being a source of entertainment, some are playing to follow the footsteps of their favorite Esports teams, like Blacklist International. Last June 17, eight teams advanced to the playoffs, where they competed in a single-elimination round with best-of-three matches as well. The semi-final round was then reached by four teams. This included El Ganador Knights, Click Esports, K Signs Gaming, and AP 2.0.

Onto the semis, AP 2.0 faced Click Esports, while the El Ganador Knights fought K Signs Gaming in a BO3 match. The defeated teams will compete for the 3rd spot for another best-of-three bout.

On the other hand, AP 2.0 bested El Ganador Knights in the grand finals with a score of 3-2. Becoming the first-ever Game on Cup 2022 Champions.

Blacklist International as ambassadors and coaches

Speaking of Champions, OPPO also invited their A96 smartphone ambassadors—the Blacklist International MPL team which appeared during the halftime show. The M3 champions participated in parlor games with the OPPO community winners, and had a meet and greet. Additionally, they also coached the two teams who fought during the finals round.
