Globe intercepted 138 million spam, scam messages in the first half of 2022!

74.48 million spam messages were blocked in May 2022 alone

With 74.48 million unwanted messages filtered out in total, Globe's anti-spam blocking reached its peak in May. App-to-person and person-to-person messages with both domestic and foreign origins are included in the total. In addition, the digital solutions platform terminated 12,877 mobile numbers between January and May as a result of spam complaints made by users of Globe's Stop Spam online portal.

Since cyber criminals pose a threat worldwide, the matter is not exclusive to the Philippines. Globe makes investments in techniques to proactively identify dubious online information in order to combat these. Additionally, methods and tools for reporting fraud and scams were made available to partners, customers, and staff.

In order to defend its subscribers and stop attacks on its infrastructure, Globe began its transformational journey toward cybersecurity in 2014. With more than 100 personnel devoted to cybersecurity activities, it has a security operations center that operates 24/7 to prevent and promptly identify attacks or breaches.
