Globe conducts first successful 5G-Advanced trial in PH, reaching up to 2.5 Gbps speed

Local telco giant Globe claims that they have completed the Philippines' first live pilot of 5G-Advanced.

According to the company, the trial showcased next-level wireless speeds and performance, reaching up to 2.5 Gbps in real-world conditions.

Globe did the test in Bonifacio Global City. Globe claims that this is a major step in digital innovation.

5G Stand-alone network comes with advanced features like Massive MIMO and Carrier Aggregation. 

The trial used a 5G-SA capable phone to unlock multi-gigabit speeds.

Globe joins a select group of global operators exploring 5G-Advanced, also known as 5.5G.

With only six commercial launches worldwide, Globe's early move reinforces its leadership in mobile innovation and commitment to shaping the country's digital future.
